Literacy Link Booklet

Concept:

The Saginaw Valley State University English Department has developed a publication titled “Literacy Link”, in which students may submit their writings to the department with a chance of getting published. Since the nature of the publication is academic, the design was kept minimal and clean in order to not cause distraction from the content. The pink color palate is instantly recognizable for students and helps it to stand out from other publications handed around campus. The asterisk mark becomes a motif in the booklet and is used throughout the publication as a design element. It was imperative to have clearly defined articles as well as pull quotes placed strategically in order to call the reader’s attention to them.
